In previous years we have sold almost all of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot fruit from the vineyard to Kellybrook in Wonga Park, where Phil Kelly consistently turned it into an excellent wine. This year and for the first time, we have made a straight Merlot varietal wine. This 2005 vintage has been matured in French oak for thirteen months prior to bottling. The high alcohol content, natural tannins and acidity will allow this wine to be cellared for many years to come, but we can testify that it is already entirely enjoyable.
